Yale Wright Lab Addition
Description
O&G Industries of Harwinton, Connecticut is the NRMCA member company. They work closely with Urban Mining, manufacturer of Pozzotive. Pozzotive is a ground glass pozzolan SCM. The glass used to make Pozzotive is collected from the surrounding area through the town recycling program.
The project is the Yale Wright Lab Addition and their use of Pozzotive in their concrete.
Evidence
O&G has included Pozzotive for up to a 30% OPC replacement for a project total of 9,350 cy. This equates to repurposing of 350,000 bottles, and 760 tons of embodied carbon emissions avoided. This is Yale's largest pour to date using Pozzotive and exemplifies their commitment to material sustainability.
