Whiteland High School
Description
Milestone Contractors, L.P. and Shelby Materials competed the new construction of the Whiteland High School tennis courts. Milestone completed the site development and Shelby provided all the ready mix concrete that was needed for the project. Together we worked on a tight schedule to complete this work on time and on budget. The tennis courts and surrounding flatwork areas were approximately 8870yd2 and 1910yd3 of ready mix concrete.

From the ready mix side
- Reduced cement mix design over traditional PT designs
o Allows for more adequate set times while still achieving expected compressive strength breaks
- Optimized course/fine aggregate blending added finishibility
- Compressive strength gain still allowed 3-5 day PT stressing if necessary
- Lower cement mix designs still yielded 5000 psi plus 28 day strengths
